MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Engineered Recycling Systems takes decades of engineering experience and integration expertise to provide turnkey solutions. We design, service and install world-class recycling and dust control systems. By providing our customers with equipment and system designs that deliver unprecedented levels of quality and craftsmanship, our solutions increase efficiency and cut labor costs. This position assembles and rebuilds custom-built recycling equipment and dust control systems from assembly prints or specifications sheet using standard hand tools. Inspects completed units to ensure proper functioning and adherence to specifications and is of the highest quality. This position assists in packing and crating units for shipment.

 

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Pay will be dependent on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Work from engineering drawings and specifications, quality assurance standards, test procedures and verbal instructions to assemble complex assemblies and systems
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of assemblies, assembly tools, tooling, and test equipment
  • Responsible for all components, sub-assemblies and special equipment into a completed machine including all necessary drilling, tapping, punching and modification of those parts
  • Responsible for acquiring the necessary parts from stock locations and other departments, verifying quantities, final assembly and testing and repair as required
  • Will tend machines such as arbor presses or roller machine to perform force fitting or fastening operations
  • Communicates effectively with others involved in process
  • Completes all applicable paperwork
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety (6s) in work area as well as involved with continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Assists other departments as assigned
  • Work where tasks vary as different models of equipment are required
  • Utilizes mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to complete daily tasks

SHOP FOREMAN

We are seeking a diligent shop foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Atlanta workshop facility. In this role you will supervise personnel, oversee shipping and receiving, manage inventory, and enforce safety regulations.

 

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Supervising and training staff
  • Creating and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedules
  • Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations
  • Utilizes mechanical ability, work instructions and hand tools to complete daily tasks
  • Enforcing safety regulations and protocols
  • Conducting performance reviews with staff
  • Meeting with management to deliver feedback and develop work optimization strategies
  • Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency
  • Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Perform administrative tasks such as keeping accurate records, verifying quantities, and implementing operational policies and procedures

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least one year's experience as a shop foreman or similar.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • A great understanding of work optimization techniques.
  • Good knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.

COST ACCOUNTANT

We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Accountant who is ready to be a hard-working team player in a rapidly growing company. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases. The cost accountant will review existing purchases, record data, recommend new cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options, and oversee manufacturing BOMs. You will also work across teams to present and translate crucial financial information and assist in company audits.

Cost Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records
  • Maintain the standard BOM costing within QuickBooks
  • Review costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
  • Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
  • Collect and compile purchasing data for analysis
  • Prepare and complete internal cost audits
  • Validate revenue and cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close
  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
  • Prepare documents and interpret financial information regarding cost improvements.
  • Develop and maintain company accounting procedures and processes
  • Assist the Controller with the preparation of financial reporting and ad hoc analysis.
  • Present cost estimates and budgets for new purchases
  • Maintain accurate records and update existing and new purchased materials and goods
  • Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs
  • Assist in audits and general ledger preparation

Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field preferred
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Manufacturing Environment Experience (required) · 2-3 years of previous accounting
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
