PCB Board Recycling System by Engineered Recycling Systems. How to Recycle E-Waste?

Electronics and Electrical Recycling Systems

Electronics have become rare, especially nowadays due to raw material shortages and supply difficulties, but if your company relies on them, it is worth purchasing a suitable recycling system. With this, you will be able to recycle and prepare for reuse all electrical and electronics that would otherwise end up as waste. This offers you numerous advantages, which we would like to explain in more detail below.

Why it makes sense to recycle electronics

Basically, the recycling of electronic waste, or e-waste, proceeds in several steps. For example, in the first step, the metallic materials are separated from the plastic materials, which can then be further processed for the necessary purposes.

All electronic devices, such as computers, televisions and smartphones, require many electronic and electrical components. To manufacture these, large quantities of precious metals are needed, such as copper, silver, palladium or other metals that are extremely rare. Metals are extremely expensive to purchase, which is especially true for the rare ones. With regard to the shortage of raw materials and supply difficulties, the prices for metal ores will continue to rise, if they are available at all in sufficient quantities for your company. If you do not receive the necessary quantities of raw materials, your company may not be able to operate at full capacity and, accordingly, will not be able to process all orders.

By recycling electronics, you can counteract this trend and recover some of the metallic components from the e-waste for reuse. ERS offers systems which are suited for this task. These can be perfectly adapted to the requirements in your company. We are able to develop individual systems, from compact solutions to multifunctional systems. An electronics recycling system is worthwhile for the processing of cables and wires up to large aluminum cans.

The benefits of recycling your electronics and appliances

The use of recycling systems for electronics entail numerous advantages for your company, which we would like to explain to you in more detail below. Furthermore, the importance of recycling is constantly increasing in all areas and will also become more and more important in the future with regard to climate change. With a recycling system you prepare your company optimally for the future.

Saving costs

The procurement of metal ores is extremely time-consuming and cost-intensive, especially nowadays. The delivery costs alone take up a large amount, which you can save by recycling electronics and appliances. Furthermore, the reprocessing of metals is also much cheaper and less complicated than carrying out the entire reprocessing process, from ore to metal. Not only do you save on labor costs, but you also save large amounts of energy. Recycling electronics and electrical items can provide valuable raw materials that can be used to create new products. This helps to conserve energy and resources, and reduces the need for mining and other cost-intensive activities. The cost savings from recycling are therefore immense, which means that an investment in one of our systems already pays off in the medium to long term.

Environment protection

Discarded electronics and electrical items are one of the fastest growing waste streams in the world. With recycling your company can process these items properly and reduce its environmental impact in different ways. Firstly, it helps to reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfill. Waste and its disposal represent a great burden for the environment. for this reason, it is generally worthwhile to reduce the amount of waste. This is exactly what is done with recycling.

Secondly, it helps to conserve resources, as recycled materials can be used to create new products. The mining of ores, the further processing into metal and the entire transport processes represent a considerable burden for the environment. recycling reduces this environmental burden many times over.

Thirdly, it helps to reduce pollution, as recycling reduces the need for mining and manufacturing new materials. Electronics and electrical items often contain harmful chemicals and materials that can be released into the environment if they are not disposed of properly.

As our reliance on electronic devices and electrical equipment increases, so does the need for effective recycling systems to deal with these items when they become obsolete. Recycling these items helps to reduce pollution and protect our natural resources.

Improved process efficiency

Our recycling systems for electronics perform all steps automatically. In contrast to the labor-intensive disposal of waste by your employees, you can simply put it into our recycling system. This gives your employees more time for production, which has a positive effect on the efficiency of your processes. You may be able to handle larger or multiple orders as a result. We tailor our systems individually to the conditions in your company and thus integrate them perfectly into the already existing processes.

Our systems

We design various equipment and machines, which can be used for recycling electronics. Which of them is most suitable for your company depends on the requirements of your company and the materials and products used. Based on this, we develop an individual solution that is perfectly aligned with your company and the processes taking place. In addition, during the design process we also consider the optimal cost-benefit factor.

One of our well-known recycling systems is the Reco Mill Line, which can be used mainly for the processing of copper in cables and wires and is able to recover the precious metals completely. The Reco Mill is available in two different sizes. Which one you need for your company depends on the amount of e-waste you want to recycle.

The Sincro Line, on the other hand, represents an advanced system capable of recycling larger metallic products made of copper or aluminum, such as radiators. If a conveyor belt is added to the system, the feeding of the waste to the system can also be done automatically and does not need to be added manually by your employees. The Sincro Line is available in three different sizes to cover different production capacities.

Both systems can be expanded to include different machines and mills, giving them new functions, allowing them to run completely automatically, or aligning them for specific products.

Conveyor belts ensure that materials are transported automatically and reliably from one system plant to the next. Magnets can also be added to the system for filtering the metallic components. Machines that can be integrated into the direct processing of electronic waste include shredders. These shred materials such as plastic, rubber or wood and prepare them perfectly for further processing. Here we also offer several models, which differ, among other things, in size and power. Which shredder is suitable for your process depends on the components to be recycled and the quantity of the electronics. The dry separation tables help to efficiently separate different materials from each other to prepare them for the further processing. They can be used for a wide variety of applications.
